What support looks like

Real life, in real places — coffee, countryside walks, cooking together, socialising, meeting up with friends and family, and having a friendly companion alongside you on short breaks.

Let’s get out and do something.
Doing life, with the right help.

Not a system. Not an institution.
Just people supporting people, in real places, with consistency, trust, and a friendly way of going about things.

The Support STORR

Built for Independence

Family-run • Local • People-scale

We have experience supporting working-age adults with a wide range of needs, including learning disabilities, mental health needs, autism, behaviours that can be challenging, and physical disabilities. Support is always shaped around the person, their routines, and what feels right for them.

Boundaries

We provide non-regulated community support.

This includes everyday support such as getting out and about, building routines, and having consistent help alongside ordinary life.

We don’t offer personal care, nursing input, or medication support.

If you’re unsure whether what you’re looking for sits within our support model, please feel free to contact us — we’re always happy to talk it through.

We’re comfortable with where we sit. Working outside regulation means fewer administrative burdens and more focus on what matters — the person, their life, and the support around them.

Where we work

We work locally and at a people-scale across North Yorkshire.

If you’re outside these areas, we’re always happy to chat and offer free, impartial advice.
